About Us

The Florida Office Of The Attorney General National Conference on Preventing Crime grew out of a partnership between the Florida Office of the Attorney General and the Florida Consortium of Urban Leagues Affiliates in 1986 to address Black-on-Black crime. This partnership was the predecessor of the Black-on-Black and Youth Crime Prevention and Intervention grant programs administered today by Florida’s seven Urban League Affiliates and Derrick Brooks Charities. Today, this conference focuses on crime in all communities. The Florida Office Of The Attorney General National Conference on Preventing Crime is housed in the Division of Victim Services and Criminal Justice Programs and functions as part of the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute (FCPTI).
