The Florida Office of The Attorney General National Conference on Preventing Crime is a collaborative effort sponsored by Attorney General Ashley Moody to foster communication and action among practitioners through the sharing of innovative ideas and prevention strategies that have been successful in all communities. This year’s conference will be hosted by Sheriff John W. Mina and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. A major component of the program will be directed toward alternatives to violence among our young people. The agenda is designed to showcase successful programs and promote a positive exchange of ideas on the subject. Approximately 1,000 people attended the 2019 conference’s event in Tampa, Florida.
